About
The Customer Success Manager is a focused tool that helps customer success teams at B2B SaaS companies keep track of the commitments they make to customers. It is not a CRM, a customer health scoring platform, or a meeting-notes app.
Who it is for
Customer success leads at B2B SaaS companies with 5–50 CSMs, and smaller teams of 2–10 CSMs managing 20–100 named accounts. If your team regularly loses track of what was promised in calls and check-ins, this is for you.
How it works
There is one workflow: the Customer Promise Ledger. A team member pastes a note from a customer meeting — for example, “We'll deliver an integration review by November 12.” That note becomes a potential commitment. A responsible team member confirms it as an accepted commitment with a defined scope, owner, due date, and evidence link. Accepted commitments enter an account-linked ledger. The owner submits delivery evidence, and a reviewer verifies or reopens it. Reminders are sent to the internal owner by email before the due date. Overdue commitments surface on the dashboard.
What it is not
- It is not a CRM or a replacement for your existing CRM.
- It does not record meeting transcripts automatically or scrape company-wide messages.
- It does not score customer health or generate QBR decks.
- It does not send emails to customers.
- AI cannot auto-accept commitments on your behalf. Every promise must be confirmed by a human.
Founder
The Customer Success Manager was founded by Max Benz, who has worked with B2B SaaS customer success teams and experienced firsthand the gap between what gets promised in meetings and what actually gets tracked and followed through.
